the darker half
of the summer moon...
still finding ways
to let go
of what has been lost
***
half moon...
the bitter pill
I swallow
when I talk
of the ex
***
cupping my face
when I am in tears
you make me
more than half
of the moon
***
stirring in more sugar
with these bitter tea leaves...
half moon
***
the stillness
on this balmy night
as if cicada songs pause
to hear the deepest songs
of our broken hearts
***
half moon...
what more is there to say
to fill in our silences?
***
even with a half moon
I stop searching
for my other half
***
the Big Dipper scooping up my tears this balmy night
***
alone on the elevator
fresh morning whiff
of four distinct perfumes
