Stones for Today (7/05/2011)

pitter-patter, pitter-patter
tiny bubbles tapping
like raindrops
inside the Coca Cola can

***

at the edge
of robin song...
a crumbling pine cone

***

the last offering
of a pine cone
before the fallen limbs...
the pencil-tree

***

crumbling
into the penciled shadows
of tree limbs...
a pine cone

***

through the gingko-shaped leaves
the woody sweetness
of silence

***

the tangy softness
of the sun
on my tongue...
this nectarine
even better than a kiss!
