Today's Feature:  Elisa Choi
GreenCanvas by EC
Today's exciting Blog Bash features Elisa Choi who is a painter and a digital artist!  The above painting, "Green Canvas," pulsates with so many vibrant colors and such life!  Wow!  This painting's message is clear to the beholder:  To love the earth and to become one with the earth.  Go green!  This message has become more welcoming in the culture of today's modern society as we push for more sustainable and biodegradable products...  Now notice the tiny tree enclosed within the heart of both hands (center).  Although loving and becoming one with the earth is perhaps one kind of message, this enclosure holds many other interpretations as well--perhaps there is also something precious in our lives that we each have to cherish and love.  Or, perhaps it's a message that we need to be at (and find) peace with nature and human nature and to have each working interdependently...

In contrast to "Green Canvas" (above), the colors in this untitled watercolor painting is more subdued, yet warm, light and care-free.  It's like a picture-perfect getaway for a vacation at the beach.  We can go rock-climbing, hiking, swimming, sunbathing--ah, the possibilities are endless!  In this painting's quiet way, the only movement noted is the waves going up diagonally from the bottom left (from the grass to the mountain peaks) to the top right (the cliff and the sky), creating suspense of an exciting adventure to come.  There aren't any grey skies yet, so perhaps this scene is a positive memory or a refreshing recurring visit for the artist.  Now I'm curious about the history behind this painting! Absolutely breath-taking work, Elisa!  Thank you so much for sharing and being one of the contributors!
